You can find material on African law as follows:
Books
- Search in our catalogue:
Under keyword terms such as “law” and the name of the
country such as “Malawi” or “Sudan” or “Sierra
Leone” etc. Naturally Titles and Authors may also be used.
Journal titles
- Search in our catalogue:
Select “journal title” and then enter the title you require –
for example “Tanzanian Law Reports”; “African Human Rights
Law Journal”; “East Africa Law Report Series”.
Journal articles
- Generally the African legal periodicals are not indexed – one would
need to consult the contents pages or indexes of the individual titles.
- For human rights law articles and book chapters, search the Human
Rights Reference Collection:
Use keywords if searching under specific topics, for example:
- "women's rights" AND Kenya;
- children AND Sudan;
- "family law" and so on.
