 he issue has, despite its obvious and critical importance, a limited profil
 e in Africa.There are few people that actively operate in the field, and wh
 o can boast a complete set of skills, particularly in the area of police ov
 ersight. The Centre for Human Rights (CHR), in partnership with the Af
 rican Policing Civilian Oversight Forum (APCOF) and the African Men for Sex
 ual Health and Rights (AMSHeR), are presenting a short course on Police Ove
 rsight and Accountability in Africa.\n\n\nRead more\nHow to apply\n\nApply

 ned for practitioners working in the field of police accountability and ove
 rsight in Africa. \nApplications from judicial officers, post-graduate stud
 ents with a relevant research focus, government officials responsible for r
 elevant issues, and members of civil society groups experienced in and enga
 ged with the issues are encouraged.\n\n\nApplicants from around the world a
 re invited. However, the course will have an African focus.\nApplicants fro
 m African countries are therefore, in particular, encouraged to apply.\n\n\
 nAll lectures and materials are in English, and proficiency in English is r
 equired to attend these courses.\n\n\nApplication deadline\n\n\nSADC applic
