Experience:
I worked in Corporate Finance before making the switch to disability advocacy when I started interacting with the Deaf community in Zimbabwe and founded Zimbabwe Deaf Media Trust (ZDMT) in 2010. ZDMT is involved in creating awareness about deafness and developing accessible materials for the deaf communities on issues like health, community participation and education. I was a member of the National Constitution Translation Committee that translated the Zimbabwean Constitution into Sign Language in 2018. I also teach Zimbabwean Sign Language at Great Zimbabwe University and I am currently working on a team that is developing an inclusive ECD syllabus for deaf learners in Zimbabwe.
