Previous experience

Britney Isambi Ngube is a human rights advocate with experience in research, advocacy, and humanitarian programming. She has worked with regional and international platforms, including the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, where she supported legal research on human rights issues, and the Knowles Educational and Charitable Trust for International Leadership (KECTIL), where she served as Regional Coordinator, mentoring over 400 young leaders across Africa. Her work includes research and writing on human rights issues, including femicide in Southern Africa, and co-researching a youth civic rights handbook for MDDT aimed at strengthening electoral participation in Cameroon. She also has field experience monitoring and supporting emergency child protection and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) interventions in conflict-affected regions of Cameroon.

Academic fields of interest:

African human rights systems, women’s rights, international law, international justice, gender-based violence (GBV), child protection, civic engagement, and youth advocacy.
