The latest HRDA Chronicles episode features Musu Bakoto Sawo, who is an advocate for girls' rights. She also engages communities on harmful traditional practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM) and child marriage. 

Musu Bakoto was born and raised in The Gambia. She obtained her Bachelor of Law degree at the University of The Gambia and her Master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. This episode of the Alumni Chronicles focuses on her advocacy and interests in supporting the development of the girl child.
 
The HRDA Chronicles is a periodic video production aimed at highlighting the extraordinary contributions being made by alumni of the Master's programme in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA) towards the promotion and protection of human rights. Previous episodes have featured David Nnanna Ikpo, a lawyer and storyteller, Maushami Chetty, the co-founder of Novate Legal and Melanie Smuts, the CEO and founder of Streetlight Schools.
