Dr Mustaqeem de Gama is the Legal Director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Pretoria, South Africa. He is also an Extraordinary Professor at the Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria.

About TILSS:
TILSS is a thematic seminar series conceived to address cross-cutting and current issues in the fields of international trade and investment law in Africa.

About the Unit:
The International Development Law Unit was established for the purposes of conducting policy oriented research on issues related to the international legal aspects of sustainable and equitable development; stimulating debate and research on the legal and policy issues related to international development and how they affect Africa, in general, and Southern Africa, in particular; and to train students in international development and economic law.
