  • LLM in Human Rights-Sexual and Reproductive Rights in Africa (UP)

Experience:
I have experience working as an advocate of the Courts of Lesotho. I also have eight years’ experience working with international human rights law. I possess experience in research, drafting and compilation of National Human Rights State Party Reports, which have been presented before the African Committee of Experts of the Rights and Welfare of the Child and various treaty monitoring bodies of the United Nations. Over a period of seven years, I have been interacting with the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights and its special mechanisms. I also have experience in organizing human rights training and workshops, popularizing national laws with human rights content, through awareness-raising campaigns. Since 2009, I have been a deputy chair of the Inter-Sectoral Committee on Human Rights, which oversees the implementation of Lesotho’s international obligations under human rights.

Academic fields of interest:
Women and adolescents reproductive rights including contraceptive services, access to safe abortion, sexuality education, HIV/AIDS and reproductive rights as well as strategic litigation of the right to health.
