Experience:
I have 8 years of professional experience working in the health and human rights field in Uganda and the East African region. I have led CEHURD’s advocacy program to advocate for legal reform in laws and policies on health in Uganda and the East African region during the years of 2012 - 2014. From 2015 - to date I have been coordinating legal teams to use legal tools to challenge Uganda’s archaic legal systems to promote sexual reproductive health and rights of Ugandan women. In 2012 I was chosen by the Institute for the study of human rights at Columbia University to be a human rights advocacy fellow, & in 2018 I was nominated & chosen to be a 2018 New Voice Fellow by the Aspen Institute in the United States of America. I use the platform to advocate for safe laws and policies on reproductive health and rights for all women in Africa.
