The purpose of this conference is to honour Professor Charles Ngwena’s contributions to human rights, and specifically highlight his pioneering work in advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights in Africa. The conference will take the form of multiple panel discussions with a focus on safe abortion access in Africa; SRHR and access to genderaffirming care in Africa; an intersectional approach to SRHR with a focus on disability among others.
