Previous experience

I have worked in the area of disability inclusion and human rights for over 13 years. Prior to that I trained and worked as a journalist at the Zambia Institute of Mass Communication and continue to blog on human rights and democracy.Since 2014, I have served as Head of Programmes at Disability Rights Watch, an organization that advances the rights of persons with disabilities in Zambia and Southern Africa through strategic advocacy and litigation. I also serve as the National Disability Inclusion Advisor for the Climate Just Communities – Lot 3 project in Zambia supported by the Scottish Government and led by NIRAS. I also serve as advisor to the ‘Out of the Shadows for Good Project- An end to the murder, mutilation and abduction of persons with albinism in Zambia”. I provide technical suport to the development and implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) and Access to Justice for persons with albinism implemented by Cheshire Homes Society of Zambia and Africa Albinism Network.
