Previous experience

I hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Catholic University of Malawi and have over five years of professional experience in the Malawi Judiciary. I currently serve as a Judicial Research Officer at the High Court of Malawi, where I conduct legal research, draft opinions, and support judicial decision-making on a wide range of matters. Previously, I served as a Magistrate, where I adjudicated cases, applied statutory and case law, and gained practical experience in judicial processes and dispute resolution. Before that, I worked as a Field Officer, implementing community-based programs focused on gender equality, and social development. My experience also includes involvement in initiatives promoting disability rights, environmental sustainability, and youth empowerment, alongside leadership in coordinating youth and community development programs.

Academic fields of interest:

My academic fields of interest are Child Rights and Disability Rights, with a particular focus on the protection, inclusion, and empowerment of vulnerable groups. I am especially interested in advancing legal and policy frameworks that promote access to education, equality, and social justice for children and persons with disabilities.
