The project is aimed at contributing to increasing advocacy and leveraging multi-stakeholder approaches to privacy-related issues in African countries. This includes interactive sessions, hosted by the EIDR unit, among key stakeholders on the implementation of South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). The project is also targeted at supporting African human rights institutions on privacy-related issues through research, advocacy and capacity building.
