Drafted by Hlengiwe Dube, this Statement highlights the shared commitment to enhancing access to data and information as fundamental human rights. Initiated by the African Alliance for Access to Data, the Statement has been endorsed by a broad spectrum of organisations and individuals, whose support underscores the urgency of advancing transparent, accessible, and open information systems across Africa and beyond.
