Previous experience

Academic:

  • Bar Professional Training Course (acquired a Barrister-at-Law Certificate from The Gambia Law School).
  • Intellectual Property Course (acquired a Certificate of distinction in Intellectual Property from the World Intellectual Property Organisation - WIPO).

Professional:

  • Girl Centered Incubator Fellow at She's the First, an international Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that fights for a world where girls are educated, respected and heard.
  • Founder, She Awards Gambia, an initiative with key focus on celebrating Gambian women and inspiring girls.
  • Contributor, Law Hub Gambia, an independent legal information institution, contributing to the promotion of rule of law, human rights, constitutionalism and good governance in The Gambia. 
  • Programmes Officer at Safe Hands for Girls, a survivor-led NGO that advocates against female genital mutilation and other forms of violence perpetrated against women and girls.
