Masters of Business Administration in Public Health Management with the University of Cumbria

Previous experience

Completed a Masters of Business Administration in Public Health Management with the University of Cumbria, United Kingdom, through a distance learning program on Robert Kennedy College - dissertation research on implementation of disability inclusion policy in Mozambique Public Health, focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights.
A professional international development, experienced with conceptualization, implementation, and management of projects with local and international NGOs in Africa, including Care International, Humanity and Inclusion, Light for the World, the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, N'weti - Health Communications and Save the Children International. I have been a disability rights advocate since 2006, and since then have developed a deep understanding of the challenges to achieving social inclusion for people from vulnerable groups, including the disabled, orphans, people living with HIV, and other marginalized communities. Also, I served as the disability advisor to the deputy president of the Mozambique National Parliament. I am owner to JAV Consulting, a company that offers consulting services on disability inclusion, public health management, management of projects and organizations. Most of my consulting services are on evaluation of projects and, evolved around research around disability inclusion in policies, economy, education and public health. Currently I serve as the Senior Disability Inclusion Technical Specialist with Save the Children International in Mozambique with contribution to the Global Programs (10%).
