The Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria cordially invite you to participate in the Validation Workshop on Advancing the Rights of Older Women in Africa, convened as part of the process towards developing a General Comment on Article 22 of the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa (Maputo Protocol).

The workshop will present the findings of the Older Persons Report, facilitate collective validation of its recommendations, and build consensus on a Draft Resolution to be submitted to the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Through presentations, plenary discussions, and advocacy engagements, participants will contribute to strengthening continental protection mechanisms for older women.
