Background
The Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa (the Special Rapporteur) is convening a webinar to commemorate the International Day for Universal Access to Information. The webinar will serve as a forum to disseminate the revised Declaration of Principles on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa (the Declaration), which was adopted by the Commission during its 65th Ordinary Session, held in November 2019.
The webinar will be conducted in the four (4) working languages of the African Union (Arabic, English, French and Portuguese), with simultaneous interpretation provided.
