In light of the 30-year anniversary of the African Children’s Charter and expanding on its previous research study, the Unit is in the process of undertaking research on the extent to which ten selected African states are domesticating and implementing the African Children’s Charter. This study is uniquely conducted from a comparative analysis perspective, which distinguishes it from existing studies on similar topics. This initiative is undertaken in partnership with Plan International as a donor and forms part of a larger project (Pan African State Accountability Project –Phase II) intended to advance the rights of children in Africa.
