The pilot episode of HRDA Chronicles features Melanie Smuts - an alumna from the HRDA Class of 2012, who established Streetlight Schools - an initiative aimed at providing high quality and affordable education to children in South Africa.
Streetlight Schools is an organisation in South Africa that focuses on starting primary schools in under-resourced areas using an innovative model that incorporates global best education practice into a local context.
The HRDA Chronicles is a periodic video production aimed at highlighting the extraordinary contributions being made by alumni of the Master's programme in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA) towards the promotion and protection of human rights.
