The Libyan Auction: “Does anybody need a digger? This is a digger, a big strong man, he’ll dig”. This is an auctioneer speaking as reported by CNN. This painting of 406 mm by 508 mm depicts the migrant slavery in Libya; in 2018. The two nude figures in a triangular composition represent mankind turned into goods and openly sold in auctions; in the 21st Century. Interestingly, this lasted for more than a year with no attention until a CNN and French TV reports shocked the world which finally woke up. For how long the struggle for human rights will last?
