Description of entry:
'Diabane' is an term used to refer to gays,  lesbians and everyone in the LGBT+ community. Di- is a prefix that denotes the plurality of things,  and Ba- is a prefix that denotes the plurality of persons. It is noted that even in the language used we in the LGBT+ community are seen as 'dilo' (things) and not 'batho' (people). This poem is based on an interaction I recently had where my personhood was brought to question due to my identity as a queer person.
