Position prior to the programme:
Development Advisor (2019-present) Technical expert: Providing support to the National partner, the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the institutionalization and national roll-out of the Youth-Led Violence Prevention Interventions focusing on youth in- and out-of-school. The overarching goal of this role is to support the implement the Whitepaper on Safety and Security 2016. Out-of-School Youth: Support the implementation of the Youth Crime Prevention Desk across the country. In-school Youth: Support the implementation of in school-based activities of the Junior Commissioners Project. Community Project Manager(2016-2017) Planning for and management of two community projects for the Human Dignity Centre. The 2 projects had the aim of restoring the dignity of the particular women through economic empowerment. Project 1: A Sustainability garden project for women living with HIV AIDS. Project 2: Arts and Crafts training centre for elderly women. Youth Programme Coordinator(2017-2019) Out-of-school Youth: Facilitation and content development for Youth Crime Prevention Desk Leadership training. (A Partnership between Masifunde LD, Department of Community Safety (GP) Department of Basic Education, SAPS, YCPD, GIZ). Facilitator for Learn-for-Life youth project. In-school Youth: Coordinated activities such as, School Safety Workshops; Youth activation training, Annual Campaigns (GBV, Human Rights, Active citizenship). Facilitated for various Intermediate & Junior Art groups as well as Life Skills for Masifunde Change-maker Academy.
