The 12th World Human Rights Moot Court Competition will take place at the Palais des Nations, in Geneva, Switzerland, from 7 to 11 December 2020.

You are cordially invited to participate in the 12th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition, due to be held from 7 to 11 December 2020, at the Palais des Nations, in Geneva, Switzerland. 

The Competition is presented by the Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa, in partnership with the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, American University, Washington College of Law, and the United Nations Human Rights Council Branch (HRCB) at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

The Competition will be held in English, French and Spanish.


Registration

Registration for the 12th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition is done in three steps:

  • STEP 1
    Faculty Registration
    Registration opens 17 January 2020
    Registration closes 31 July 2020

    Submission of memorials
    Submit by 17 August 2020

  • STEP 3
    Individual Registration
    (maximum 2 students and 1 Faculty Representative)
    Registration opens 21 September 2020
    Registration closes 30 September 2020
