16th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition
The annual Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition was first held in 2009 at the University of Pretoria and is hosted by the Centre for Human Rights with support from various donors. Held over a five day period, it brings together undergraduate and master's degree students from all over the world, who argue a hypothetical human rights problem.
The Competition is presented by the Centre for Human Rights based at the Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, in partnership with the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Washington College of Law, American University, the Commonwealth Secretariat and the United Nations Human Rights Council Branch (HRCB) at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
