Ally Seif Ramadhani is a distinguished Lawyer and Human Rights practitioner born and raised in Tanzania, with more than 10 years of working experience in the Legal and Human Rights field. He is a renown Youth Rights Activist, certified Child Rights’ Champion and experienced trainer for Common Ground Approaches (Peace Building programs).
Since January 2017 to date, Mr. Ally Seif has been working with the Legal and Human Rights Centre (LHRC), a leading human rights advocacy organization in the country whereas for several years he has been leading Youth and Children portfolio.
Mr. Ally Seif is a proudly beneficiary of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Cohort 2018 (Nairobi - Kenya) , Friedrich Ebert Stiftung - Young Leaders Forum (FES) Cohort 2020 (Dar es Salaam - Tanzania) and proudly beneficiary of the ‘Advanced Human Courses’ offered by the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria, (South Africa) where he has been attending between 2018 and 2021.
Mr. Ally Seif is a 2022 Community Solutions Program (CSP) Fellow – a professional leadership development program for the best and brightest community leaders worldwide, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and supported in its implementation by IREX. During the program, Mr. Ally Seif had a chance to work with American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Georgia, in Atlanta - Georgia (United States) under the Advocacy Directorate , as a Policy and Advocacy Fellow who was responsible for policy review, analysis and community outreach targeting the youth especially those found in Universities and Colleges in Georgia .
Mr. Ally Seif poses recommendable experiences on issues related to Anti-Terrorism, Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) through several trainings he has attended and several projects he has managed under the auspices of Creative Associate International, Private International Law and Policy Group (PILPG), and Search for Common Grounds - Tanzania.
Moreover, Mr. Ally Seif is serving as a Board Member and Legal Advisor to the African Child Projects (ACP) Board, an NGO which focuses on changing narratives about African continent and its people by bridging the digital gap and bringing internet access to communities of Tanzania as well as building a digital society.
Currently, Ally Seif Ramadhani is pursuing Master's Degree (LLM) on Human Rights and Democratization in Africa, a prestigious one-year intensive course offered by the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria (South Africa) in partnership with other partner universities all over Africa.
