Previous experience

With a background in peace and security, Maram has vast experience in governance, conflict prevention and management, and transitional justice. She holds a BPolSci and MA Security Studies from her alma matter, the University of Pretoria. Maram has worked with the Institute for Security Studies in their respective Addis Ababa and Pretoria offices. A published researcher and policy enthusiast, she is passionate about expanding and connecting the African human rights system and peace architecture.
