Previous experience
Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Professional Council of South Africa for the past 11 years. Working with individuals, couples, families and group or community interventions. Holds a Masters of Clinical Psychology from University of South Africa (UNISA). Currently working in Private Practice based in Pretoria. Has experience tertiary, secondary and primary health care and neurological and spine rehabilitation setting. Completed her internship in Sterkfontein Psychiatric hospital with a wide exposure and training in working in forensic setting observation of mental heath care users under Section 77 & 78 of Criminal Procedure Act, State, Involuntary mental health care users with severe mental health disorders. During her public service; she served communities of Mpumalanga Province: Middelburg, Belfast- eMakhazeni and Hendrina; Gauteng Province: Tshwane Clinics in Hammanskraal supporting around 9 clinics and down referrals from Jubilee hospitals. She has a passion for teaching worked at UNISA psychology department as a part time support staff for undergraduate and honors psychology module for a decade. In addition was a part time lecturer in 2019 at SMU- former MEDUNSA taught psychology to MBCHB and BDS ensuring we raise Doctors with a heart for the community (awaiting assumption to support the Masters Clinical Psychology program in 2025). Served in the Covid Clinical Board at Louis Pasteur hospital during 2020 Covid crisis also offered crisis intervention to over 300 staff member. She continues to share her passion for Mental Health awareness and eradicating stigma. She shares her expertise by making appearances on radio and tv. Was part of a Showmax documentary “Mpho the woman who lives” that facilitated victim offender dialogue, supporting the survivor. She is currently expanding her role repertoire enrolled in Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Multidisciplinary Human Rights at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria.or the Department of Community Devrkoment in Johannesburg. Her academic background has been in Public Policy and is now studying towards her MPhil in human rights at UP
