Jonas SINDANI is a young Congolese lawyer involved in the defense of human rights, justice and the rule of law within Congolese youth movements. He preaches to young people and other members of the community about rights and freedoms, peace and peaceful cohabitation in the eastern DRC, a conflict zone. Participating in this program will allow me to acquire additional training in human rights in order to strengthen my sense of analysis and forge my understanding of human rights issues, so as to be more effective in my professional project. Thus, the mastery of human rights issues and international legal standards for a more effective implementation of their protection, will allow me to focus my advocacy on the respect of human rights as a condition for peace and strengthening the rule of law and democracy in the DRC in particular and in Africa in general.
